Tarpin Hill tack is constructed from
oiled and treated top grain harness leather. Sometimes the oils
and tallows rise to the surface of the leather as a light whitish film.
This film is actually an indication of quality and can be wiped off with
a damp cloth. The same oils and tallows that surface are what make this
so weather-resistant and allow any scuffs to be buffed out easily.
